Whether you’re ready or not, the holiday season is quickly approaching! While Oregon is known for our beautiful Douglas Firs, there are a variety of options to choose from at local tree farms this winter. Here are a few great, family-friendly tree farms near the Portland area to check out this holiday season.
Frog Pond: Wilsonville, OR.
This family-run farm opens for the season on November 19. Not only can you stop by and pick up a tree, but you can visit with the farm’s camels, donkeys, llamas, ponies and more. The Frog Pond Farm Store has a selection of Christmas decor and gifts to choose from to spruce up your living space for the holiday season.
Stop by on the weekend and warm up by the bonfires with a cup of hot coffee from the coffee shop.
Santa stops by the farm occasionally, so check out Frog Pond’s Facebook and Instagram accounts to see when he’ll be around!

Loch Lolly: North Plains, OR.
This 28-acre farm in North Plains has both U-cut and Pre-cut options. The farm opens on November 25 and stays open throughout the holiday season, with U-cut services wrapping up on December 12.
Grab a hot cup of coffee or hot chocolate and visit the gift shop for a beautiful wreath, or stop by the warming station near the lake to warm up before you head back home and admire the beauty of your new tree.
Santa loves visiting Loch Lolly during the holiday season! Here’s when you can find Santa at the farm: November 25 – 27, December 3 – 4 and December 10 – 11.

Hours: 9 AM – 5 PM daily
Quail Creek – Portland, OR.
Located in the West Hills of Portland, Quail Creek offers 20 acres of trees, along with mistletoe, garland and wreaths. Starting November 19, stop by Quail Creek for a great selection of U-Cut and Pre-Cut trees and take a walk down the Quail Creek trials with a cup of hot cocoa or cider in hand.
The farm offers free bailing, shaking, cutting and loading assistance to help you find the perfect U-Cut tree.

Lee Farms
If you’re looking to grab your tree early this year, check out Lee Farms, opening on Saturday, November 12. Lee Farms also provides a variety of U-Cut and Pre-Cut trees to choose from as well as assistance when it comes to cutting, shaking, bailing and loading.
The Lee Farms Farm Market and Bakery sells pies, fruits, donuts, cider and more, so be sure to stop by for something sweet before you leave!

Plumper Pumpkin Patch – Portland, OR.
Stop by and visit Santa at Plumper Pumpkin Patch this holiday season. Santa will be visiting December 10th and 11th from 10 AM to 4 PM!
Plumper opens on November 19 and offers a variety of U-Cut and Pre-Cut trees to choose from. The fire pits are the perfect pit-stop to warm up and roast some marshmallows before heading to the farm store for pumpkin donuts, cider and more.
Wreaths made with custom bows, mistletoe and garland are also available!

Christmas Mountain – Scappoose
Check out the beautiful views at Christmas Mountain in Scappoose! Christmas mountain will be offering U-Cut trees with shaking and bailing services starting on November 25. Cozy fire pits and wreaths made on-site will also be available! Tickets are necessary, so be sure to grab one online!
Santa will be visiting the farm November 25-27, December 3-4 and December 10-11!
