Do we grind our own ground beef?

Yes, our lean ground beef is prepared fresh daily in our own kitchen from 100% certified Angus beef.

Where do we get our meat?

Most of our pork comes from Carlton Farms in Carlton, Oregon.
Our beef mostly comes from the Midwest and is corn fed. Some of our beef is from Carlton Farms.

Do we make our own hams and smoked turkeys?

Yes, we make our own hams and smoked turkeys, as well as our own bacon and sausages.

Do we use nitrates?

No. We do use nitrites as a coloring agent.

When can I pick up my phone order/online order?

Phone orders – minimum of 3 hours. During a holiday week – 2 full business days.
We are closed on Mondays, so that is not considered a business day.

Online orders – 1 full business day. During a holiday week – 3 full business days.

If I placed an e-mail, phone, or on-line orders do I still need to take a number at the counter for service?

Yes. We take many orders – especially during the holidays – so to be fair, every customer must take a number for service. We appreciate your patience when the store is busy!

Does Gartner’s ship?

Yes, Gartner’s now offers shipping! See our hand-assembled packs, ready to ship to a friend or to yourself. Other Gartner’s products are available to ship as well. Call 503-252-7801 to order, during regular business hours. For more questions on shipping, see below.

What forms of payment do we accept?

We accept Cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and the Oregon EBT Cards. EBT may be used in-store only. We do not accept checks.

What are our shipping policies?

HOW WE SHIP

Our products, at Gartner’s Country Meat Market, are perishable food items. Shipped products are flash-frozen and double wrapped in protective butcher paper, to ensure a safe ride to their destination. We ship all orders inside reusable, insulated coolers with gel packs. Gartner’s expert packaging method greatly increases the amount of time our product can remain safely in your freezer.

All orders are shipped via UPS Tuesday and Wednesday ONLY. Orders received after 4:00 pm Pacific, will be sent the following day. Orders received Thursday through Monday will ship the following Tuesday. All orders are sent automatic UPS two-day service. Need it sooner? Next day service is an option at checkout.

Your UPS shipment tracking # will be available once your order ships.

QUALITY GUARANTEE

We guarantee that our products are of the highest quality possible and will arrive safely, if the correct address has been provided. While our products are delivered in reusable insulated coolers, we highly advise that our product be placed in a freezer or refrigerator upon arrival, preferably within a few hours.

If damage has occurred to package during shipment, please contact our customer service representative at 503-252-7801 Tuesday – Saturday between 9am – 6pm Pacific.

IMPORTANT

* Loss or damage due to incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses void our guarantee. Be sure to double check addresses.

* Due to the nature of our product, we currently are only shipping to Oregon & Washington State.

* If the order is a gift for another recipient, billing customer is responsible to make sure recipient will be available for delivery.

* Shipping schedule is subject to change during holidays.

* Please note: Inclement weather and other unforeseen circumstances can cause shipments to arrive later than expected. Please plan ahead and order early.
