There’s nothing quite like tender, juicy pulled pork on a slider bun. Our pork shoulder has the perfect amount of marbling and is full of flavor, making it ideal for slow cooking. Whether you’re hosting a backyard get-together or looking for an easy comfort food dinner, these pulled pork sliders are a great summer meal option.

What You’ll Need:
- 3–4 lb pork shoulder (bone-in or boneless)
- Your favorite BBQ rub (grab one in-store or make your own)
- 1 large yellow onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (plus more for serving)
- Slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
- Optional toppings: coleslaw, pickles, jalapeños
Pulled Pork Slider Instructions:
1. Prep the Pork:
Rub your pork shoulder generously with BBQ rub, covering all sides. Let it rest at room temp for 20–30 minutes while you prep the rest.
2. Build Your Flavor Base:
Place sliced onions and garlic in the bottom of a slow cooker or Dutch oven. Add apple cider vinegar and chicken broth.
3. Slow Cook to Perfection:
Place the pork shoulder on top of the onions. Cover and cook on low for 8–10 hours (or in a 300°F oven for 4–5 hours), until the meat is fall-apart tender.
4. Shred and Sauce:
Remove the pork and shred with two forks. Discard excess fat. Return the shredded meat to the pot, mix with the juices, and stir in BBQ sauce to taste.
5. Assemble Your Sliders:
Scoop a generous portion of pulled pork onto toasted slider buns. Top with coleslaw or pickles if desired.
Making this for a party? Prep ahead! The pulled pork can be made a day in advance and reheated in the oven or slow cooker before serving.
