sheet pan vegetables and sausage - peppers, brussels sprouts, asparagus and more on a dish with a bowl of the same mixture to the side

Ingredients

  • 5 Gartner’s Jalapeño Bratwurst
  • 1 pound baby potatoes, halved
  • Handful of sweet peppers, diced
  • 1 large red onion, cut into wedges
  • 2 zucchini, sliced into thick rounds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Sheet Pan Instructions

Preheat your oven to 425°F.

Toss the potatoes with olive oil and half of the seasonings, then spread them out on a large sheet pan. Roast for about 15 minutes to give them a head start.

Pull the pan out of the oven and add the peppers, onion, zucchini, and Gartner’s Jalapeño Brats (you can slice them, or leave them whole). Drizzle the vegetables with the remaining oil and seasonings, then toss everything together.

Bake for another 20-25 minutes, flipping the brats and stirring the vegetables about halfway through. Once the vegetables are tender and the brats are nicely browned, it’s ready to serve.

Serve everything as-is, or pile into a toasted bun with your favorite toppings.

Blackstone or Griddle Instructions

Heat your Blackstone or griddle to medium and lightly oil the surface.

Start with the potatoes since they’ll take the longest. Cook them for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add the peppers, onions, zucchini, and Gartner’s Jalapeño Brats. Continue cooking for another 12-15 minutes, turning the brats every few minutes and stirring the vegetables until everything is cooked through with a little caramelization.

Easy Ways to Switch It Up

This recipe is super forgiving, so don’t worry if you don’t have every vegetable on hand. It also works great with:

  • Mushrooms
  • Brussels sprouts
  • Broccoli
  • Sweet potatoes
  • Green beans
  • Asparagus
