– 1 can black beans (15 oz)
– 1 can pinto beans (15 oz)
– 1 can fire roasted crushed tomatoes (28 oz)

– 2 tablespoons chili powder
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 teaspoon pepper
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon cumin
– 2 jalapeños (optional)

How to Make Sweet Potato Turkey Chili in an Instant Pot

– Prep sweet potatoes and bell peppers – you can peel the sweet potatoes, or leave the skin on. Cut the sweet potatoes into ½ inch cubes and dice the bell pepper

– Press the “sauté” button on your instant pot and pour in the olive oil. Once the oil is hot, add the ground turkey, salt and pepper. Brown the meat, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon until the turkey is no longer pink.

– Add in the chili powder, garlic powder and cumin and stir until the turkey is fully seasoned

– Add in the diced sweet potatoes, bell pepper, crushed tomatoes, both cans of beans and chicken broth and stir all together.

– Place the lid on the instant pot and set the valve to the seal position. Set the Instant Pot to “high pressure” for 10 minutes

– Once the 10 minutes is up, quick release the valve. Once the pin drops on your instant pot, remove the lid and stir.
